I haven't tested these instructions but have a go and let me know how you get on.
Playing DVD clips I think will be slightly more complex, I will have a look into this for you and address this in a separate reply.

With regards to including dvd clips in your presentation, there seems to be two approches:
1. DIY, using various bits of software. There are some comments about this on the following page:

2. Use a piece of software designed specifically for this purpose. There is a piece of software called Plays For Certain which you can get on a 14 day free trial to try:
