can you change the default font on powerpoint, if so how?

RE: default font on PowerPoint 2007

Hi Dina,

Thank you for your question. Default Font is a common question for all Office 2007 suite.

One way to create your own default font, you need to create a blank one to start with.
1) Open a new presentation
2) Choose the appropriate company template
3) Set the preferred colours / font style
4) Select Design tab > expand the Themes group (bottom down arrow button)
5) Click Save Current Theme > name it
6) Expand the Themes group again, you should see your theme under Custom > right click your theme > choose Set As Default Theme

Test it by creating a new presentation, check if this theme is being used. If not, repeat the above steps again.

Hope this is useful.

Kind regards,

RE: default font

Hi Dina,

Thank you for your post, to change the default in PowerPoint you would use the Slide Master option, this will allow you to change all bullet levels in the Presentation

To accomplish this; in PowerPoint click View>Master>Slide Master and then click on the individual place holders or bullet levels and change the font and font size if required.

Remember that if you change the Design options for any of the preset designs or any you download the font size and type will be preset for that Design style.

I hope that has helped. regards Pete

PowerPoint tip:

Use Paint Brush to do Multiple Formating in Powerpoint

To copy a format from one piece of text or from a Text box in Powerpoint to multiple words or Text boxes

1. Select the word/text box with the format that you want to copy

2. Double-click on the paint brush icon on the Toolbar

When you move to the word/text box where you want to paste the format you will notice that a paint brush follows the cursor.

Paste the format to all the words and text boxes you need to format.

When finished go back to the paint brush on the Toolbar and single click on it to deactivate the function.
