Size of graphic file

How do I change the size of the graphic file when I want to send it via email?

RE: size of graphic file

Hi Daniella,
Thank you for the post, in answer to your question - to change the graphic file size, select the graphic, right click on it and choose the option Format Picture, From the dialog box choose the Tab Picture and then click the button Compress, from the mini dialog box that opens choose your required graphic resolution. (96dpi)

A Method which I use is to draw a rectangle, oval or any other shape (AutoShapes from the Drawing Toolbar) and then fill the shape with the picture of my choice, this restricts the boundaries of the picture to the shape, its very successful, follow these steps to try it out;

1. Open the slide you wish to place the graphic on
2. Draw the shape, (rectangle, circle, oval, starburst etc.)
3. Right click on the shape and choose Format AutoShape
4. Choose the tab Colours and Lines
5. Click the Dropdown for Colour and choose Fill Effects
6. Choose Picture Tab and click Select Picture
7. Navigate to your chosen graphic and follow the insert options
8. Step back and say WOW

I hope that has helped, best regards Pete

PowerPoint tip:

Change The Powerpoint view to 16:9 ratio

In PowerPoint you can adjust the 'Page Setup' commands to change the height and/or width of the page - changing the aspect ratio.

You can make it so that the effect on screen will look similaar to the letterbox films that you see on TV - with black space above and below the picture.

Choose 'File' menu, select 'Page Setup'.

Make the Width 64 cm and the Height 36 cm.

Click OK
