Zip Filing PPT

How do I send several, fairly large PPT files in one zip file, so that they are compressed?

RE: Zip Filing PPT

Hi Zena,
Thank you for your post, in answer to your question; if you place all the files in one folder and then zip the folder you will be able to send the compressed folder to your destination. I use a compression package called RAR, but that is personal choice.
As a side to this question I am sure you are aware that you can pack your PowerPoint files and all extra addins into one folder by using the Pack and Go (pre 2003) or the Package for CD (2003 onwards) which will also include a PowerPoint viewer which will enable you to view/present the files on a PC which does not have PowerPoint or the version of PowerPoint which the presentation was created in.
To activate the Package to CD process go to the Menu command File>Package for CD and follow the steps in the Wizard. This will place all the relevant files into a single folder. I hope this has helped, if so please click the Resolved link, best regards Pete.

PowerPoint tip:

To copy an object on your page

To copy an object on your page quickly and easily instead of using cut & paste, try this instead.

Select the object you want to copy by clicking on it.

Hold down the "CTRL" key on the keyboard.

Click (with the left mouse button) and drag the object to the new position. Simple & quick.

Now try it again but press the "Shift" key at the same time as the CTRL key, this will keep the objects aligned. Great for making diagrams etc.
