RE: images and movies

HI Miriam, Thank you for your post, Welcome to the forum, I hope you enjoyed your course. In answer to your post, Inserting Images and Movies into a presentation;
Lets look at Movies first;
On the Insert menu choose Movies and Sounds, click Movie or Sound from file, navigate to the folder which holds the item you want to include, double-click it to insert it into your presentation, you can then use the custom animation options to determine the way you wish it to be played.
Images;
Locate the folder with your image; I tend to use this method when placing an image on my slide;
Open the slide on to which you wish to place your image, using the rectangle tool, or any other drawing shape create a shape (drag to draw) on your slide of the size you wish your image to be, Right click on this shape, then go to the Format AutoShape option and click, Click the dropdown on the Fill Color, and from the options choose Fill Effects, Click the tab for Picture, Click Select Picture and navigate to the folder where you have placed your image, Select the image and click Insert, the image will fill the drawn shape and you can then complete the resize and hide the borders etc etc.
I hope that helped, if so please click the resolved link, best regards Pete

PowerPoint tip:

Convert a 2003 presentation to 2010

If you have a presentation in 2003 you can work on it with the 2010 enhancements by using the compatibility mode.

Open the 2003 file in Powerpoint, and it will open it compatibility mode.

Click on the File tab then select Info, and Convert. Then save the file using "Save as", type in your new file name, and then click Save.

Your 2003 presentation will now be in 2010 and you'll be able to use all the enhancements available.
