What are the 'controls' in the Developer tab used for?

RE: Controls

Hi Tom,

Thank you for your question.

In MS Office 2007, the Developer Tab has replaced the Visual Basic & Control Toolbox toolbars in the older versions. It provides the tools for writing Visual Basic codes to automate some frequently used functions in the applications.

All the control icons are used to "draw" options on your file, combining with VBA code, you can use them to design a user-friendly interface and share the file with other users.

Hope this clears it up a bit.

Kind regards,
