the best way to add an organisation chart in PowerPoint is to use a org chart slide, and how to get one is as follows:
Firstly insert a new slide then from the view menu click slide layout when the slide chooser comes up scroll down to the bottom of the list and find the org chart slide and click it
From there double click the chart object and go from there
