Grouping Pivot by financial year rather than calendar year

How do I make it so that my pivot tables organise months into financial year quarters (i.e. april - June as Q1) rather than calendar year quarter?

RE: Grouping Pivot by financial year rather than calendar year

Hi Emma,

Thank you for the forum question.

Unfortunately Excel is working with calendar year only, but by adding columns to your source data you can get what you want.

I have attached a workbook with the columns you will need to add to your data.

Excel tip:

Adding multiple rows in an Excel 2010 Worksheet

If you want to add more than one row to an Excel Worksheet, drag select the number or rows you want added to the spreadsheet.

Then right click on these selected rows, choose Insert from the menu, and the new rows will be added above the rows you first selected.
