How do I put double lines around my columns?

RE: Tables

Hi Janet,

Hope you have enjoyed your Word training. Thank you for your question.

In order to add borders around tables in Word, please see the instructions below:
1) Click anywhere within the table
2) Select FORMAT menu > BORDERS and SHADING
3) Select the double line style in the middle box
4) Select the setting (i.e. Box, All, Grid...etc)
5) Click OK

If you only want the border around 1 column, select the column first before you choose FORMAT menu.

Hope this helps.

Kind regards,

Katie (Microsoft Certified Trainer)

Word tip:

Move or hide shapes in a Word 2010 document

When you insert shapes in a Word document, the easiest way to move them around is to use the Selection Pane on the Drawing Tools tab on the Ribbon. This tab only appears when you're working with graphics. Or if a shape is hidden behind another shape, just select it from the list on the page and use the arrows to move it backwards or forwards.
