Excel 2007

Hi

I'm having some problems using chart templates, sometimes they don't always work on everything that you have saved them to show, Eg - changing the format of graph lines, they sometimes revert back to the default lines when new data is added and refreshed.

Any ideas on this would be most helpfull

Many thanks

Steve

RE: Excel 2007 - Charts Templates

Dear Steve

Thank you for attending Excel 2007 Adv course. I hope you enjoyed the course and can see that you have started taking advantage of the 12 month support already.

Before I can assist you further I would like to know if you saved the chart as a chart Template on the Design Contextualized tab on the Ribbon under the Chart Tools tab or did you simply create a chart on a workbook and then saved the workbook as a template file?
Please reply to this post and then I should be able to assist you further and we can establish the next best course of action to take.

Many Thanks

Kindest Regards

RE: Excel 2007 - Charts Templates

Hi Rajeev

Thanks for getting back to me.

I saved it as a chart template in the design tab in Pivot chart tools on the ribbon.

The problem is that when i apply this template to another worksheet graph, it sometimes doesn't change all the graph line styles.

Do you think this may be cause by the number of lines the template was saved with, say for instance i saved the template with 10 graph lines of data and i apply this template to a graph with say 12 lines of data?

Many thanks

Steve
