How do I create Pivot Tables?

RE: Pivot Tables

1. Place you cursor in the data table you want to create a Pivot Table from.
2. Click DATA > PIVOT TABLE AND PIVOT CHART WIZARD
3. Follow the wizard to create the basic structure
4. Drag the fields you want to see summarised into the pivot table

Excel tip:

Display Functions on Worksheets

Functions in Excel can be difficult to recall their format/syntax

For example, you want to use the =PMT function.

Enter =PMT, then select keystroke, CTRL+SHIFT+A.

This usful memory jog, will display the arguments of a function on a worksheet, allowing the user to proceed with the generation of the function
