Is there a way I can link this software to other programs such as SAP without running a third party program to obtain spreadsheets to then take into Power BI?

Hi Abigail,
Thank you for your question to the forum.
You can link directly from Power BI desktop to SAP using GET DATA > MORE > DATABASE. This will bring up 3 different versions of SAP:
SAP HANA Server, SAP Business Warehouse Applications Server and SAP Business Warehouse Message Server
Select whichever is correct for you and then click on Connect
You may need to download and install a specific SAP Connector to enable this connection to work successfully.
