Formulae with variables

I want to fill a column with formulae relative to either a cell or a sheet reference; in other words to include Cells(i, 2) or Sheets(i) in the formula. Can you advise how I can construct the formula please?

RE: formulae with variables

Hi Tom,

Thank you for your question.

Sorry for the delay in responding.

Can you please provide some more detail into what you are trying to achieve.

Regards

Simon

RE: formulae with variables

Hi Simon.

Here is the example:

Sheet 1 column A is a list Flat 1, Flat 2 .......Flat 192.

Sheet 1 column B is intended to show, via formulae, the value in cell (3, 5), (fixed), in the corresponding Sheet called Flat 1, Flat 2 ....Flat 192.

I am sure this can be done by a formula relative to the value of cell (i, 1), but get very confused on the syntax for formulae, and how to write it to accommodate the relative sheet references.

Can you help?

Many thanks,

Tom

RE: formulae with variables

Hi Tom

I work with Simon and we have discussed your requirement. We are reasonably confident that we can create a solution for you however it is beyond the capabilities of this forum. What we would need to do is have you send us your working files along with a summary of key features you require.

We can then confirm duration of work (we reckon 2-3 hours) and related rates. If you then want to proceed just let us know.

Kind regards

Jacob
