Excel Introduction course

Relative vs absolute references in formulas

what is a quick way to figure out whether to use one or the other?

RE: relative vs absolute references in formulas

Dear Lucia

Thank you for attending Excel Introduction course. I hope you enjoyed the course and have benefited from it.

The best way to figure out if you need to use relative or absolute referencing then simply start with the relative referencing and copy the result to other cell. If you expected the one of the cell to remain same then you go back to the original formula and make the relevant cell Absolute.

I hope this helps!!

Kindest Regards
