Formulas

how do you copy a forumla from one worksheet to another?

RE: Formulas

Hi Suzie

Thanks for your question.

It depends on what you want the formula to do - if the formula is on one sheet and you want to make a second spreadsheet and have the formula do the same thing as it does on the sheet you currently have, then you should be able copy and paste the formula into the second spreadsheet.

If you want the formula to look at cells that are on other sheets, then you can start your formula by typing in = then proceed to put your formula together by going to the sheet that has the cell you want to include in your formula then click on the cell itself to enter it into the formula. When you have finished putting your formula together press Enter.

Excel tip:

Transpose text

You can transpose any range of cells, turning the columns into rows and the rows into columns. Just follow these steps:

Select the range.

Click the Copy button on the Standard toolbar to copy it to the Clipboard.

Select a cell outside of the range you copied.

Select Paste Special from the Edit menu.

In the Paste Special dialog box, click Transpose, then OK.
