Excel absolute referencing

Could you do referencing any other way than adding the $ sign to the cell reference? Is there a shortcut?

RE: Excel absolute referencing

Hi Pavlina

Thankyou for thr question

If you type in your formula and press F4, then the reference will automatically become absolute. By repeatedly pressing F4 you can set only the columns and then the rows to be absolute

If you type the formula and press enter before you press F4 then you would have to select the cell with the formula and then highlight the formula's cell reference in the formula bar before pressing F4

Regards

Stephen
