Security

Other than Shift Enter, is there another way to secure Access. Sample question only to register on forum.

RE: Security

Hi Angela Thanks for your post, I understand that you just want to register but for others who might like to know there is another method to add a password to your database, follow these steps:
1 Open Access, Navigate to the folder where your database is located, and select the file.
2, click the drop down arrow on the Open button and choose Open Exclusive.
3. On the Tools menu select Security, Choose Set Database Password and apply a password of your choice, you will be asked to confirm it.
4. To remove the password, you once again need to Open the database in Exclusive mode, then from the Tools menu follow the steps in Security to cancel the password requirement.

Access tip:

Related tables

When you have related tables such as Customers and their Orders, the Customer table is the Primary table.

Open the Customers table in datasheet view and go to the Home Tab and Records group. Click on the More option and choose Subdatasheet and then click on Subdatasheet again. Now choose the related table (Orders) and click ok.

Now you can click the + symbol by each company to show the related orders.
