How do you base a new style on the Heading 1 style?

RE: Related to styles

Hi Bernadette,

Thank you for your question.

To set up a new style base on Heading 1:
1) In MS Word, open Format Menu -> Style and Formatting
2) Click on New Style button
3) Type in new style name
4) Select "Heading1" in the drop-down box of "Style based on"
5) Set your formatting
6) click OK

Hope this helps.

Katie

Want to close all open Documents/Workbooks (yes it works in Excel too) without closing the program?
Shift+Click on the File menu gives you a hidden command; Save All...
