Sunburst Charts

How do I make an inverted / reverse sunburst chart so that it starts with many items o the inside, merging on the outside to make broader categories?

RE: Sunburst Charts

Hi max

Thank you for using the forum to ask a question.

Can you share what data you are trying to turn in to a Sunburt diagram?

They are designed for hierarchical data, so progressively getting smaller increments on each ring. The logic doesn't flow that they would get decrease as you move through the hierarchy so what you are asking for currently outside the limits of the Chart type.

Please review this information for an overview of what they do

Might I suggest you try a Doughnut Chart?
Create it with Series 1
Then "Add Series 2"
This will created a Double Doughnut Chart which isn't constrained to the Sunburst chart limitations

Kind regards

Richard

Excel tip:

Recently used file list

Under the File menu, you may find a list of files at the bottom of the menu. These files represent the most recently used Excel spreadsheets. This file list provides a quick way for you to access your files.

You can disable the file list feature of Excel. This is done by

1. Choose Tools > Options menu. You will see the Options dialog box.
2. Ensure the General tab is selected.
3. Make sure the Recently Used File List check box is cleared.
4. Click on OK.
