Linking data

I have several files which references the same data, I want help with linking that data so that I dont need to spend time copy/paste function every month

RE: linking data

Hi Lisa

Thanks for getting in touch. You can do this quite easily. Get all of your files open in Excel first as this makes the process smoother.

In the source file - where the data is coming from - copy the data as normal.

In the destination file, where you'd like the data to go right-click and look for an icon that has a chain link symbol. If you can't find this go to Past Special and press Paste Link.

Instead of pasting the data it pastes a link back to the workbook so it will replicate whatever is in that sheet.

You can monitor your links from Data > Edit Links.

Kind regards
