I wonder if you can help me?
I am trying to find (seperately) both the minimum and maximum values from a data sheet to put on my summary sheet. The data sheet contains Job titles and budget hours:
EG:
Partner 400
Partner 500
Partner 600
Associate 200
Associate 300
Trainee 150
Trainee 250
The summary sheet is as follows:
Min Max
Patner
Associate
Trainee
Therefore I am trying to write a formula to say if the data sheet matches one of the job titles on the summary sheet (eg: Partner) then find the minimum value.

Thank you for your question regarding maximum and minimum values in a spread sheet. I have created a small file which has a couple of solutions. I would have tried an IF function, however, since they are limited to 7 instances and I don't know how many job titles you have in your organisation, I have chosen the solutions which I think may help you.
