How do yu just cut out the chart ie (pie) without the background in order to paste elsewhere in word/powerpoint

RE: Charts

Hi Lindsay, thanks for your query. Format out the background of the chart as we did in class, setting the border and Area to none, so that the deselected chart has no background. Copy it, then go into Powerpoint or Word and paste. In 2003, it should paste in the graphic without the background (it's pasting it in as an actual Excel object, i.e. without the background). If that doesn't work trying pasting in as either a Windows metafile or Enhance metafile.

Hope this helps,

Anthony

Excel tip:

Some examples of CTRL key shortcuts in Excel 2010

Did you know that the old CTRL key shortcuts haven't changed from previous versions of Excel to the 2010 version?

They remain exactly the same:

Ctrl+B for bold
Ctrl+I for italics
Ctrl+P to Print
Ctrl+S to Save
