How do I use macros to populate different columns depending upon a criteria. For example 1 would allocate that figure to column C, 2 to column D etc?

you must record yourself doing selecting these columns first and the macro will follow suit

Excel tip:

Using an equal (=) sign that isn't part of a formula

Before you type the equal sign, type an apostrophe: '
Then type your equal sign: = (and anything else you want to add after your equal sign)
Press ENTER.

(the apostraphe will disappear
