Styles

Sometimes I find that you can't delete certain styles when I want to be it simple with just want I need. Why is this?

RE: Styles

Hello Bianca

Thank you for your question, and apologies for the long delay in response!

If there are styles that you can't delete, try doing the following instead, to be able to see just the list of styles you are currently using.

On the Styles and Formatting task pane (which appears on the right hand side of your screen), use the dropdown arrow at the bottom of the task pane next to Show, and select Formatting in Use. This should only display the styles that have been applied.

If you need to apply other styles you aren't currently using, change the dropdown arrow next to Show so you can see All Styles. Once you have applied a style or styles from the task pane, change back to Formatting in Use.

I hope this helps.
Amanda

Word tip:

Comparing 2 documents at the same time in Word 2010

Word allows you to open 2 files side by side, very useful when you want to compare them for whatever reason.

Simply open the documents that you want to compare and move to the View tab of the ribbon. Click the View Side by Side button and then click Arrange All. Press Synchronous Scrolling and you will be able to scroll through both documents at the same time.
