Sorry i haven't got back to you before now

The clipboard can be used for two reasons mainly

1. for cut copying and pasting things within the program you are in i.e. Excel or 2. you can use the clipboard to cut, copy and paste between other programs like something from excel into word

Here are a few keyboard shortcuts to help you Ctrl + X for cut
Ctrl +C for copy and Ctrl + P to paste
