Hello Yvonne

Thank you for your question and welcome to the forum.

To use spell check in Excel click the button with a tick and ABC above it.

If you cannot see this button you may need to show the Standard toolbar by selecting view>toolbars>standard

Excel tip:

Removing the Ribbon from view in Excel 2010

At times when you want to view the whole spreadsheet, try double clicking on the ''Home'' tab on the ribbon which will hide the ribbon from view.
