when creating pivot tables can you use data from external program-not included in Microsoft, but running of an SQL Server?

How are you doing, sorry not got back to you earlier

now it is very possible to get data from other programs that are not MS Office as long as the file type being used is a data file type when you save the you want to get externally as a data file from the save as type drop down list at the time you save
