How do you change the coclur of a cell if a statement is true/false
eg. Answer=No then cell=red
=yes then cell=green

RE: Exce adv

Hi Rebecca

Thank you for your question; and welcome to the forum.

You can get Excel to apply formatting based on what is contained within a cell by using Conditional Formatting.

This is found under the Format menu - Format/Conditional Formatting.

If you wish to set more than one criteria for the cells you have selected, then click the Add button once you have put your first criteria in place.

You can have up to 3 different criteria for the same group of cells.

I hope this helps.
Amanda

Excel tip:

Transpose text

You can transpose any range of cells, turning the columns into rows and the rows into columns. Just follow these steps:

Select the range.

Click the Copy button on the Standard toolbar to copy it to the Clipboard.

Select a cell outside of the range you copied.

Select Paste Special from the Edit menu.

In the Paste Special dialog box, click Transpose, then OK.
