Once you have learnt the main features of Excel in the classroom, you really need to put it into a work environment where a solution is needed.

I use Excel for pretty much everything and I have learnt the ins and outs through practise.

Excel tip:

Using an equal (=) sign that isn't part of a formula

Before you type the equal sign, type an apostrophe: '
Then type your equal sign: = (and anything else you want to add after your equal sign)
Press ENTER.

(the apostraphe will disappear
