Suggestions on how to develop knowledge on formulas

RE: knowledge about formulas?

Hi Anne, Thank you for the post, welcome to the forum, in answer to your question, this is a bit of a biggie... without knowing a great deal about your background it is difficult to point you in the right direction, lets just say that Excel has sufficient to keep a mathematican happy for many years. The way that I learnt about the different formulas was to use the fx button on the Formula bar and went through the formulas that are explained there. I hope that helps. best regards Pete.

Excel tip:

Adding a comment to a formula

1. At the end of the formula, add a + (plus) sign.
2. Type the letter N, and in parentheses, type your comment in quotation marks.

eg.

=CurrentAssets / CurrentLiabilities+ N("The formula returns Current Ratio")
