Using MySQL database as an external datasource

Is is possible to use a MySQL database as an external datasource?

RE: Using MySQL database as an external datasource

Hi Nick

Thank you for your question

It is indeed possible to interrogate an SQL database.

Simply click on Data-Import External Data-Import Data.

You will then be presented with a list of data source types. Choose the relevant type, and then select the required file.

You will then have the ability to select required tables and fields

Hope this helps

Regards

Stephen

Excel tip:

Remove unused toolbar buttons

Are there buttons on your Excel toolbars that you never use? Remove them from the toolbar by doing the following:

1. Go to Tools - Customise - Commands.
2. Select the toolbar button you wish to remove, then use your mouse to drag and drop the button into the Excel window. When you release your finger from the mouse, the button will disappear.
