Image Background Colour
Hello, I'm sure on the course Garry altered the background colour of one of his images (as it had a white boarder) to fit in with the background colour of the rest of the table. How is this done please?
Peter
Use a graphics application or CSS
Hi Peter,
Normally you would do this in a graphics application such as Paint Shop Pro, Photo Shop or Fireworks. In these applications you could have a bottom-level layer filled with the same colour as your web page's background colour.
Or, when you export the image to JPG, GIF, PNG etc. you can usually set the background colour. You could also try exporting as a transparent GIF, meaning you can change the background colour of your page at will, and it won't matter because the GIF file is transparent where you want the background colour to appear.
Garry may have also changed the border or background colour of the image in Dreamweaver using CSS. I'll ask Garry to have a look at this forum question and see if he can shed any light.
