RE: powerpoint 2007

Hi Jane

Thanks for your question.

A little bit frustrating trying to find those things you could find in the 2003 version!

If you click the Office button (top left corner of the screen) go to PowerPoint Options. Within here you should find the various options that were previously available under the Tools - Options menu.

If you go to http://office.microsoft.com/en-gb/powerpoint/HA100666231033.aspx and scroll to the down of the page, find the heading 'New locations of familiar commands' and there will be a downloadable file which outlines where you find 2003 commands/features in the 2007 version you might find useful.

thanks
Amanda

PowerPoint tip:

Aligning slide objects using gridlines

The Grids and Guides feature in PowerPoint can serve as a visual guide to assist with aligning and/or resizing shapes.

Go to View > Grid and Guides or on the Drawing toolbar, select Draw > Grid and Guides. You can then choose to display the grid or guides on the screen.
