Animations in slides

Need to understand/been shown how you remove all existing animations and then how to create all new ones

RE: Animations in slides

Hello Clare,

Thank you for your question.

As you might know, any slides with animations will have a star icon next to the slide in the thumbnail view on the left of the PowerPoint window.

On a specific slide, to see what is animated, you need to click the Animations tab in the ribbon above. PowerPoint will display numbers on animated items.

To remove animations, unfortunately there is no quick way to remove all animations in the entire deck with one click.

On each slide, you will need to press Ctrl + A to select all animations on that slide, then in the Animations ribbon, select 'None' to clear the animations before creating new ones.

I hope this helps.

Kind regards
Marius Barnard

PowerPoint tip:

2003 keyboard shortcuts work in 2010

If you are happy using your Ctrl + shortcuts and Alt + shortcuts, they still work in Powerpoint 2010.

You can also benefit from the 2010 enhancements using Key Tips.
