Keyboard short cuts

Hello

On a recent training course I was on we were shown how to create keyboard short cuts to enter short lines of text e.g. so you could set it that you type "*a" and it would enter "please contact me if you've any questions" into the email. Please could someone remind me of the steps I need to go through to set these up?

Many thanks

Ruth

RE: Keyboard short cuts

Hello Ruth,

Thank you for your question. Here are the steps to create typing shortcuts in Outlook:

- Click File - Options
- Click Mail - Spelling and Autocorrect
- Click AutoCorrect Options
- In the Replace box, type the short code and in the With box, type the full phrase.
- Click OK when done.

I hope this helps. Good luck with your endeavours!

Kind regards

Outlook tip:

Create a Resource In Outlook

If you would like to be able to book a resource (eg a meeting room or company car) using Outlook Calendar, you should create the resource as a separate account in the mail server.

Then give Author premissions to the whole company to access it (this allows people to book it, but prevents them deleting existing meetings created by others).

It can then be booked directly or by using the resource button when inviting delegates to a meeting.
