Formatting tables

Is there a way you can add formulas to Formatting tables? Such as CountIf and CountA?

RE: Formatting tables

Hi Arne,

Thank you for the forum question.

Yes you can add function if you use Format as Table.

WE should format all our table as Table this will save us time working with Excel.

I have attached a workbook where you will find that I am using Counta and Countif inside the table.

If you want to add formulas to a table formatted as table you will need to ad a new column to your table. Just click in the first blank cell in the header row and type a heading. Type the function below your new heading and job done.

I hope this is what you want if not please let me know.

Kind regards

Excel tip:

Change the Default Width of All Columns in Excel 2010

If you want to change the width of the columns in your Excel 2010 spreadsheet, making them either larger or smaller, here's how:

In the Cells group on the Home tab, click Format.

Hover over the section called Cell Size and a drop down list will appear, select Default Width from this list.

In the Standard Width dialog box, enter the size you want to set as the default width and click OK.
