PowerPoint Intermediate Advanced course
Hi,
I need to create an interactive presentation.
I will be creating a table in PowerPoint that will have several rows. I will create a text box for each row and then would have different words in each box i.e. Strategic Brief, Creative concept etc and then when you click on the word a description will appear explaining what a strategic brief is. We did something like this on the training course.
Thanks
Binti
Hi Binti
Thanks for getting in touch. Using animation is the way to achieve this.
Add your tables header box, and your separate description box. Then enable the Custom Animation pane: Animations > Custom Animation.
Click the "pop-up" description box and choose the effect you want to happen. Then in the animation that is listed in the pane on the right, click the drop-down arrow and select Effect Options. Go to Timing and expand Triggers if necessary. You can then select Start effect on click of and choose the object that fires the event.
Sometimes figuring out what all of the objects are called is the hardest part. To see what objects are called, on the Home tab go to Select > Selection Pane. This will list all the items on the current slide.
I hope this helps.
Kind regards
