is there a limit to size of a notes field

Hi Paddy, thanks for your query. There is no software limit to the notes field size, but the amount of RAM on your machine will define the limits of what you put in the field. If you're embedding OLE objects in the field, the software will soon start to slow down.

Thanks Anthony - that's very interesting .... I'll pass it on to the team that thought there was a limit and see what they say. It may well ease some issues for them.

MS Project tip:

Autofit column width – Project (all versions)

At the top of the columns where each column name is located (Task Name, Duration, etc.), hover over the vertical column line which you want to move.

A short bold vertical line will appear, with horizontal arrows pointing left and right.

Left click and hold this icon and it will permit you to grab the column line, allowing you to move it left or right to your desired location.
