Powerpoint 2003

How do you take a screen print and embed it in the presentation as a picture?

RE: Powerpoint 2003

Hi Anita

Thanks for putting up with me yesterday.

To print what is on screen

Find the print screen button on your keyboard and press it. It can be labelld Prnt Scrn as well

This will take a screen shot of what is currently on the screen

Then use the paste button to paste it in Powerpoint and powerpoint will treat it as a picture.

Print screening just a dialog box

Suppose I want to print screen just the print dialog box without the surrounding screen. To do this I need to hold down the
Alt key AND press the print screen button

and this will just copy the print dialog box.

Any problems please do not hesitate to contact me.

Thanks

Newson

PowerPoint tip:

Animating charts imported from Excel

Once you have imported an Excel chart into a Powerpoint slide, it is possible to apply animation to individual components (e.g. each bar) of the chart.

Click on the imported Excel chart, then go to Draw - Ungroup on the Drawing toolbar (usually located at the bottom of the screen).

A message will appear warning that ungrouping will change the chart into a different type of object - click Yes, then go to Draw - Ungroup again.

You should now see the chart has been broken up into all its individual components.

Right-click on a component that you wish to apply animation to; then select Custom animation and apply animation using the task pane on the right of the screen.
