How might I be able to bring the text for each slide forward as if from the end of a tunnel? Can I make it curve? Maybe some kind of light that gradually comes toward the viewer?
Hi Molly, thanks for your query. The Faded Zoom effect on text brings the text forward as if from the end of a tunnel.
As for a light... one way to mimic this is on a dark background draw a very light grey filled circle. Cut and paste it back it as a jpeg. The corners will now be filled with white, use the recolour tool to set the transparent colour as white, the corners will disappear. Apply the Soft Edges 50 point picture style and then apply a faded zoom animation to the image. Slow down the speed to, say, Medium, and the effect passable resembles the headlight of a train approaching. You could achieve better effects if you had Photoshop to hand, but this is the sort of trick you can pull off in Powerpoint.
Hope this helps,
Anthony
