how do i change the colour of a background of an image so that it is the same as my slide colour?
Hello Caroline
Thank you for your question and welcome to the forum.
To change the background colour of an image would require you to edit the image in a program like PhotoShop.
What you can try doing in PowerPoint which sometimes works, depending on the image, is to bring up the Picture toolbar on the screen (View - Toolbars - Picture) and then find the Set Transparent Color button.
Click on this button and then click on a bit of the background of the image. If it works, then the background colour should become transparent, as though it has disappeared. Then the slide background colour should show where the image background colour was previously.
I hope this helps.
