What are the action buttons and what do they do?
RE: PowerPoint
Hi Cheryl,
Thank you for your post and welcome to the forum, in answer to your question; The action buttons allow the presenter to quickly navigate, open or change the sequence of the presentation whilst actually making the presentation.
For example: To create a command button on the slide which opens a document (worksheet), in Normal view; select Menu Option Slide Show>Action Buttons, choose the button for Document, and drag in your slide to create a small rectangle, when you release the mouse a dialog box will appear, choose the option Hyperlink and follow the steps to insert a URL which will be the path to your document/worksheet. Then when you are presenting the slide show and come to the slide which will be enhanced by showing the latest sales figure (for example) Click the action button and it will open the chosen program and Item. (They must be available either in a folder which you have take to the presentation or in a path which the computer is able to follow) I hope that helps, best regards Pete.
