Thank you for your question; and welcome to the forum.

To add animation to text or an object on a slide, select the text or object, then go to Slide Show - Custom Animation.

This will open the Custom Animation task pane on the right-hand side of your screen.

Click the Add Effect button at the top of the task pane, then Entrance and select an effect to apply.
