{"id":668,"date":"2012-10-02T10:48:43","date_gmt":"2012-10-02T10:48:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.microsofttraining.net\/b\/exceltraining\/?p=668"},"modified":"2023-12-30T23:12:17","modified_gmt":"2023-12-30T23:12:17","slug":"the-joy-of-excel-2010-templates","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.stl-training.co.uk\/b\/the-joy-of-excel-2010-templates\/","title":{"rendered":"The Joy of Excel 2010 Templates"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I love time-saving tips and templates are a great way of setting up new worksheets without the hard work of formatting, setting up formulas and trying to make things look good. \u00a0What I really want to do, is on get on with &#8220;the important stuff&#8221; of entering the data quickly, so that I can analyse the results and get the positive work outcomes I need.<\/p>\n<p>Today&#8217;s mission, was to set up a basic time sheet for the different projects I am working on, and logging the time I spend on each one, so I can report back to each &#8220;client&#8221; on what I&#8217;ve done and how long it has taken. \u00a0I can then use this data to generate invoices, or project costings for example.<\/p>\n<p>In Excel 2010, I selected File, New &#8211; and I am given a smorgasbord of options&#8230;this is where I can look through suggested ready-made templates.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_669\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-669\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.stl-training.co.uk\/b\/exceltraining\/files\/2012\/10\/Excel-Template-Options-with-Excel-training-London.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-669 \" src=\"https:\/\/www.stl-training.co.uk\/b\/exceltraining\/files\/2012\/10\/Excel-Template-Options-with-Excel-training-London-300x217.png\" alt=\"Excel 2010 Templates selection\" width=\"300\" height=\"217\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-669\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Screen shot of templates available in Excel 2010.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>I chose &#8220;Time Sheets&#8221;, which gave me four options &#8211; from which I chose &#8220;Daily Time Sheet&#8221;, and downloaded it to my computer.
