This is where an\u00a0Excel Dashboard can be a very efficient and time \u00a0saving option. \u00a0Once a dashboard is created in the right way it\u00a0can be easily amended.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.stl-training.co.uk\/b\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/the-whole-dashboard2.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-2182\" src=\"https:\/\/www.stl-training.co.uk\/b\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/the-whole-dashboard2-1024x480.png\" alt=\"the whole dashboard2\" width=\"625\" height=\"292\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Top 5 reasons for Dashboards<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>We need dashboards to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Visualise data<\/li>\n<li>Spot patterns and trends<\/li>\n<li>Improve appearances<\/li>\n<li>Make the numbers more digestible<\/li>\n<li>Provide interactive selective reporting<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>How should an Excel\u00a0dashboard be created?<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"color: #3d3d3d;\">Before\u00a0creating a dashboard, you need to spend some time planning. What is the objective and who is\u00a0your audience? Make sure that your audience can get the information they need from your dashboard.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Ask yourself: &#8220;What do I need to track in the dashboard&#8221;? Try to get a clear picture of what you are trying to accomplish.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #3d3d3d;\">When creating a\u00a0dashboard, think about how the dashboard will be viewed to make it meaningful for your audience. Some may need\u00a0<\/span>a clean, compact\u00a0dashboard with simple visualizations.
