So how do you show formulas in Excel?<\/p>\n<p>Below is an example workbook, at first glance it&#8217;s not easy to see how the figures in Qtr 1 and Qtr2 were generated.\u00a0This is a problem if you need to maintain the workbook or check it&#8217;s formulas.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.stl-training.co.uk\/b\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/show-formulas-off.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-2206 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/www.stl-training.co.uk\/b\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/show-formulas-off-300x231.png\" alt=\"show formulas off\" width=\"300\" height=\"231\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Excel can reveal the true contents of cells &#8211; so its easy to\u00a0locate formulas in the sheet.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.stl-training.co.uk\/b\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/show-formulas-on.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-2207 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.stl-training.co.uk\/b\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/show-formulas-on.png\" alt=\"show formulas on\" width=\"2062\" height=\"828\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h2>How you can show formulas in Excel:<\/h2>\n<p>There are two ways to switch this feature on. Click again to turn it off.<\/p>\n<p>You can also switch this feature on and off using the keyboard shortcut:\u00a0Ctrl + `\u00a0 (this symbol is\u00a0usually on the key to the left of the number 1 key, in the\u00a0top left corner of the keyboard.
